Tokaido GLASS “Kiriko glass experience”

You can etch your own Kiriko glass under the guidance of a Kiriko artisan. Choose your preferred color and shape of glass, sketch a drawing of the engraving you want, and then use a specialized cutting machine to carve traditional Edo Kiriko patterns onto the glass. You can take your artwork home as a souvenir on the same day of your visit.

NIHON MINKA-EN “Indigo Dyeing Experience”

Traditional Indigo Dyeing Workshop offers an easy way to experience traditional indigo dyeing where the techniques of the Kawasaki City dyers and eight vats of indigo dye allow a view into the past. They offer indigo dyeing sessions, mini-exhibits, and workshops. Advance reservation is required for the indigo dyeing experience and workshops.

Cherry blossom trees along the Kawasaki Station tracks

When you exit the west gate of JR Kawasaki Station, there is a row of cherry trees stretching from the bus rotary along the railroad tracks to the embankment of the Tama River, a distance of about 500 meters. Cherry trees line both sides of the road, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely walk while viewing the cherry blossoms.

Kawasui (Kawasaki Aquarium)

This aquarium recreates beautiful underwater seascapes from around the world such as Oceania, South America, the Amazon, and the Tama River flowing through Kawasaki City, and showcases a diverse range of aquatic life. Higashi-ogishima East Park

The park offers a full range of facilities for all-day enjoyment, including a wooden deck overlooking Tokyo Bay and the Keihin Industrial Zone, an artificial beach (Kawasaki no Hama), a dog run, and the park grounds. You can also view the planes taking off and landing at Haneda Airport and admire the beautiful scenery of Tokyo Bay. Depending on the season, you can also enjoy outdoor activities like clam digging or a barbecue.

Kawasaki Racecourse

This museum, with the theme of “the interaction between people and science,” offers hands-on exhibits to learn about science while having fun. CUPNOODLES MUSEUM YOKOHAMA
